What can I learn?
We divide our learning events by prior knowledge and skill level to ensure all participants get the most benefit from the content. We use building block methodology to enable all participants to engage with learning, promote better understanding and ensure everyone has the opportunity to receive instruction from their Host.
Adult Beginner
Beginning to explore, refreshing or developing understanding of foundation sewing concepts, revisiting the world of sewing
Prerequisites: None

Adult Established Beginner
Have an understanding of basic sewing concepts and starting to explore projects of choice.
Prerequisites: able to demonstrate independence in setting up a sewing machine appropriately for a project and an understanding of a broad range of basic sewing techniques. Other skill sets assessed to determine placement in a project level class lie in the areas of use of tools and equipment, selection of fabric, thread and haberdashery appropriate to the project and ability to read a basic sewing pattern.

Adult Independent
Exploring projects of choice, able to sew independently but seeking to further knowledge of techniques or how to achieve a polished finish to projects.
Prerequisites: able to demonstrate an ability to read a basic sewing pattern, understand fabric characteristics such as grainline, interpret order of construction and independently apply a range of sewing techniques to a project.

Child Beginner
Beginning to explore, refreshing or developing understanding of foundation sewing concepts, revisiting the world of sewing.
