First Stitches – Adult

Stitchery & Co.’s First Stitches block of classes is suitable for those who are beginning to explore or are revisiting the world of sewing. Participants learn a range of beginner concepts such as the safe use of a sewing machine, the purpose of grain-lines, using pattern pieces, pinning and measuring, using fabric scissors, sewing straight lines, back-stitching, sewing seams, applying trim, top-stitching and creating a channel, all whilst constructing our carefully curated selection of beginner projects, starting with a pillow case!

First Stitches is the introduction block to a suite of beginner Stitches classes at Stitchery & Co.; participants have the option to transition into our follow-on course of beginner Stitches class blocks, where each project has been placed with a perspective on reinforcing what has been taught, whilst continually building skills and confidence.
